Enhance Your Home's Décor With Tea Lights and Scented Candle Displays

Tea lights and scented candles brighten up rooms, introduce sensual scents, and add an air of polish to any décor scheme. Numerous versions of DW home candle tea lights are available on eBay.

Today people do not need candles for light. However, home candles are almost more popular than ever, ranging in sizes, from hefty jar candles to tiny tea lights. They add gorgeous scents into each room, which makes them an important feature in home decoration

Why buy tea lights instead of big scented candles?

Big scented candles can be expensive, and you may not want to take the chance on a new scent without being sure that you will like it. Investing in sets of scented tea lights will give you a good idea of the scents and styles you like. You can buy glass candles or big pillar candles to exude your favourite scent for many hours once you've confirmed with a tealight that you like it.

Are there any other options besides paraffin wax tea lights?

Yes. The wax can be made of paraffin wax, beeswax, soy wax, or sometimes a mixture. The perfume is embedded in the wax, so the scent is released as it burns off through the wick. Beeswax is a fairly soft wax with a very slight honey scent to it, while paraffin wax is harder with a very slight chemical smell. Soy wax releases scent better, so the perfume is clearer in the room.

Popular styles for tea lights and home candles

There are different styles of decorative candles that you can choose from, including:

  • Wooden wick: Some candles have a wooden wick which emits a gentle crackling sound as it burns. The sound is something like the soothing hiss and crackle of a real wood fire. These are great in colder weather, especially when teamed with snug autumnal scents.
  • Cotton/cotton-paper wicks: These are preferred over metallic wicks for health reasons since nobody wants to breathe in metal particles. Candles wicks legally have to have a lead free, and the cotton-paper wicks take a huge market share.
  • Glass candle: These candles are often hand poured into a short tumbler, to achieve a particular color swirl or other desired effects to add extra opulence to a room.
A home decoration feature with a rich history

The use of lights for decorative purposes dates back to the times when Greeks ran the world. The ancient Greeks used to put candles on cakes to celebrate Artemis, the moon goddess, and Kinderfesten transformed this practice into a birthday celebration in the 1700s. Now, candles are used to not only celebrate a special occasion but also add glamour and character to a room.
