Achieve Optimum Ergonomics with Computer Monitor Wall Mounts

Offices and shops commonly have desks for an LCD display, laptop, or computer. Over the years, people have discovered that this setup is not the ideal in terms of ergonomics for long work hours, leading to lower back pains, high blood pressure, and sore muscles. Companies have developed ways to combat the effects of bad ergonomics by creating a number of devices, such as standing desks and wall mounts and arms.

What Types of Ergotron Wall Mounts Are Available?

  • Arm: Mounting arms consist of multiple components that make up the mounting system. There is the main mount that screws into a stud on the wall, a couple of connected shafts or arms, and then a mounting bracket that screws into the back of your LCD display. This is also a viable wall mount to allow a desk system to double as an entertainment console.
  • System: These mount systems have arms and additional components acting as a mouse and keyboard desk. Depending on the model, the display mount and the peripheral mounts can either by united or separate. The separate mount systems allow you to adjust the orientation of the monitor independently of the peripherals for a flexible and ergonomic setup.
  • Low Profile: These mounts offer basic functionality but with a large range of movement notwithstanding. Some models offer vertical movement to elevate a large display while others may be fixed in height but have a large range in terms of angling. Others include a two-part independent mount system for the monitor and keyboard but with a lower range of movement that more complex mount systems.
