Highly recommended. Nearly perfect. Cons: Apps, Cases, Expandable Memory, Voicemail
If you're looking for the best camera phone on the market, this is it. It's perfect in every way except the following four reasons: app support, cases, visual voicemail, and expandable memory. First, it doesn't have the most supported ecosystem because it's not as popular as Android or iOS. Most popular apps are supported: Facebook, Twitter, Spotify, Pandora, Skype, Instagram, WhatsApp, YouTube, Kik Messenger, Adobe Reader, Netflix, Vine, et. al., but you don't get apps that Apple makes àla Android, and you don't get apps that Google makes àla iPhone. You DO however get a lot of apps that Microsoft makes (including the badass version of Microsoft Office preinstalled -- not the watered down versions on iPhone and Android.) And with Windows 10 coming out, you can do anything you can do on a PC across the board. So if you get this, update it to Windows 10. Second, you can't find cases at any stores because the phone has been discontinued. You have to buy it online. Not a big deal, but a bit frustrating since I'm coming from an iPhone 5s and can walk into nearly any store -- Best Buy, Walmart, malls, and buy a case. So buy a good case while you're buying this phone and you'll be in good hands. Third, the only way this phone could be better is if it had expandable memory. With a phone that's so heavily focused on taking pictures, I'm surprised it doesn't have a dedicated microSD card so I can pop it into a printer and print lab-quality glossy pictures off. Fourth, visual voicemail sucks on Cricket. When I moved my iPhone from Verizon to Cricket, my visual voicemail worked just fine. Once I bought a Windows Phone, no one knew how to set it up or help me. This -- again -- is because the operating system isn't popular. So you will likely be on your own when setting it up. Visual voicemail is supported through the operating system, but no one knows how to do it (at least on Cricket.) This probably wouldn't be a problem if you're on a big cellular company such as Verizon or AT&T -- since they have wonderful customer service. Anyway -- that's my experience with this phone. The camera is great. There's NFC and wireless charging, too. It's a big step up hardware wise from an iPhone 5s. Highly recommended if you can buy a brand new one.

A phone? No... a camera.
I bought this phone for its camera - I was greatly dissatisfied with the quality of your typical phone pictures, and I am too lazy to carry a camera in addition to a phone. I knew what I was getting, and I am almost perfectly happy with what I got. The picture quality is simply superb, better than you get from many point-and-shoot cameras in the under-$500 class. Which is exactly what I wanted. My slight disappointment comes from the fact that in a mad dash for making it "flatter" Nokia dropped one VERY good feature: namely - wireless charger. They saved 1mm in thickness by doing that, but in effect forced us to buy that silly accessory, that makes the phone fatter again, and just doesn't look and feel right. I still use it, but I truly wish they didn't do it. I LOVE the camera grip, and I wish they combined it with the wireless charger!

41 Mega Pixel Camera!
I bought this phone for 1 reason only. The camera. I could care less about any of it's other features other than using if for internet. I do not even use it as a phone. I noticed that while using the video camera it records background noise that is a bit odd. I may have to re set the camera. I can live with it, but it was a bit concerning to hear this recorded on the audio track. Other than that everything about it seems pretty good. Very smooth operating. I am going to keep this review short, simply because I have not used it that much. The quality of the photos it took were outstanding. If one desires high quality photos, buy it.

Best buy out there
There is a reason the word 'unopened' is starred and all caps, I wasn't expecting a new phone anyway. They did a very meticulous job packaging it, so kudos for that. All the components were included and in as good a shape as one could hope for. The phone is in great condition, and the battery holds a good charge. I mainly bought it for the camera, which is in working order and takes very nice photos. It's worth it to me.

windows camera phone & light weight
The good: -functions quickly and smooth transitions from applications to messaging, and web browsing. -Its light weight and flat great for getting around -easy to use and the picture quality is strong for a phone and at night it has a bright flash The bad: -No SD card which I desired for extra memory, file transfers and for photos/music -its delicate so get a case and protect the screen

Best camera out there for camera people.
I have used the Nokia 1020 before, and when my old phone fell into the water, I had to have another. Microsoft is so simple to understand and having used other phones I still prefer the Nokia. And being a filmmaker, having that extra battery power and the excellent photo range, I give this phone 9 out of 10. After all, nothing is perfect.

Best camera phone ever made
The Lumia 1020 is the best camera phone ever made. I dropped my black one and immediately ordered a new one. These are becoming a rare thing, if you loved Nokia you'll understand this was a great last hurrah for them, definitely worth adding to your collection.

I bought the 1020 shortly after it came out and now I just replace them on ebay instead of buying new 600$ phones
this one works as well as the rest, I am very satisfied.

No probelem with the phone but the software...
So far I haven't had a problem with Nokia phones, but I'm done with Windows based phones. No support from app makers or Microsoft. The only good thing about a Windows phone is you don't have to worry about it getting stolen. If it ever stolen the thief returns it and apologizes for stealing your crappy Windows phone. Hey Microsoft, if you want to break into the phone market try investing a couple billion dollars to support and develop it!!! Not just sit back and collect from us...
