    Almost Perfect. Not for Everyone

    I love the Notes. I had a Note 4 as my first Note and it was the best phone I ever had. It was working great even at 5 years old, but had hardware issues that made it unreliable. I shopped around and got the unlocked Note 8 for a killer deal. Yes, it's not cheap, but it's worth it, and no other flagship phone has a stylus which I didn't want to give up. This thing is beautiful. Samsung's Galaxy phones after 2015 are some of the most beautiful ever. I got the Orchid Gray and the sides and back are color coordinated along with the S Pen. Fit and finish are perfect. The Notes are always the highest-spec phones so it's got the latest (for 2017) hardware and design. You get 6GB RAM,64GB internal storage with expandable micro SD up to 256 GB. The Infinity screen is 6.3" and has nearly no to and bottom bezels and it's curved on the sides too. The resolution is incredible at 2K 515 ppi super Amoled +. Gets crazy bright and pretty dim. The processor is the Snapdragon 835 SoC 8 core so it's fast and handled my most demanding apps fine. I don't play games though. It came with Android Oreo. The body is tall and a little slimmer than the Note 7, a lot like the Galaxy S8+ but taller. That makes it easier to use than my Note 4, but the height made it stick out of my pockets. It's also heavy at 196 grams, about 20 grams more than the S8. The body is also super slippery and catches fingerprints like crazy, so put a case on it. It's pretty scratch resistant, but you'll want a case and screen protector. The S Pen is amazing. It's way better than the Note 4's. Battery life is very good. I got through the whole day without charging. The camera is one of the best smartphone cameras of all time. Period. Two 12 megapixel lenses with dual iOS on both cameras, plus 2x optical zoom on one. You can take great shots and the large f1.7 aperture helps low light pictures to look great without using the flash. It shows both 1080 and 4k video. The only thing missing is 4k at 60 fps, but the 30 fps looks great and you still get 60 fps on 1080. The only downsides of the Note 8 is the price, the weight, and the size that might be too much for some, but if you want a phone built around a stylus your choices ate limited to this and the LG Stylo, which is an entry- level/midrange phone with nowhere near the capabilities of the Notes in every way, but costs 1/3 as much. Now that you can get a near-new Note 8 for around $400, if the size doesn't matter, get one.

    Glad I switched to this phone!

    I had the LG V20 before I purchased the Samsung Galaxy Note 8. I am glad that I switched to this phone. It is lighter in weight - the LG V20 was quite heavy, especially with the added case. The Note 8 is light, even with a case. I like that the power off button is on the side of the phone versus on the back like the LG V20. The Note 8 seems to have great battery life. I can play games for an hour and only use 10 or 20% of my battery. The extended screen on the Note 8 is cool, but sometimes its a pain if you are trying to click on something on the internet that falls right on this area of the screen. That's about it for now. I have only had the phone for about two weeks . Thus far I am pleased.

    Awesome phone with some up & downs

    It's an awesome phone. Performance is insane. Dimensions are comfortable to hold and use. Keyboard input is better than LG or previous gens for big hands. Screen graphics are nice, not a fun of the round corners but I can see the appeal. Speaker has a better sound than LG and previous gens as well. The Cam is just awesome. Front face has up to 8mp for some fun quality selfies. Auto focus and lighting has improved tremendously from single cam phones. It weights a bit but looks good and android 9 goes all out with modes and tweaks. Not a phone to have a glass protector, it loses touch sen. Stick with film. Also Batt life is shorter than normal. Led notification light not as strong as some older note. Overall, Clearly better than any previous gen. Specially on photos and performance, RAM and internal space.

    Nice device

    Big adjustment upgrading from a windows phone that was several years old. Took a lot of time to customize the settings to my preferences, and am still learning how to operate some of the apps. I do like the phone and its features. The S-pen is smooth and a little difficult to handle, if it was textured it would make it easier to hold on to. Buyers need to remember that this is a large phone, or bigger then the standard one, so you need to think about how you plan to carry it. I have not had the problem I've heard some complain about with the fingerprint reader location. It's not just a matter of the size of your hands, but also how you prefer to hold the phone. The more I use the Note 8, the more I like.

    Note 8 = Huge phone + tablet = Phablet

    The Note 8 is large. The phone feels double the size of a Note 4 (it's noticably heavier, about an inch longer, half inch wider and thicker). It is not comfortable to carry in your pocket and the belt-clip-protective-carry-case is huge. Large, curved screen is very good, but will crack if dropped (so purchase an Ottorbox Defenser and a screen protector). The camera is advanced and a major upgrade over previous Notes (if you can figure out all the settings). The processor is faster, but not dramatically noticably faster than the Note 4. The battery is built-in and cannot be changed nor replaced/upgraded. If you want an easy to carry pocket phone, this is not it. While I am impressed with the technological advancements, the phone is too large, heavy and cumbersome to enjoy carrying every day.

    Best Note EVER

    I've owned a Note series phone since Samsung first came out with them. Yes, I got caught up in the Note7 disaster, not once, but twice, and after that, suffered through the anticipation for the Note8 with a S7 Edge, which is like driving a Mini after having driven a Ferrari for a long time. It was absolut torture. The lack of the actual "Home" button took only an hour to get used to, but the Note8 is awesome, in all its splendor and glory. I am so glad to have my S-pen back...You never know how much you need it, until it's gone. I'd 100% recommend the Note8 to anybody. It's a powerhouse of a phone, bar none.

    Flagship phone line continue to hold up

    Overall I've been happy with Samsung's Galaxy line and it has not changed with the Note8. I use it for business and it has done a superb job. Battery life is incredible; I am usually in the 40% range by the end of the day without ever placing it on a charger. The phone is slim and tall but narrow so there isn't much room to rest my hand when writing with the S pen and the multitude of options displayed when taking a photo eat up too much of the screen however there may be a way to reduce this in setting I just haven't looked yet. I expect to get years of life out of this phone.

    Enjoying every moment

    When I first bought the note 8, i wasn't sure of what I was getting myself into. After receiving and using it in just a few days, I now know what I've been missing. I am happy with how this phone is made and have no problems with the fingerprint scanner... it just seems natural for me. If I had to pick and choose for a high tech business phone again, then I would and will choose this one again.

    Great phone with great price ..i love it the camera is great ..but the battery life is misrable actully, but i can see why ...for a phone with this high spec. Recommended but need to put it in a full case becuase the edge design for the screen make the screen kinda weaker ..my phone is already has crack in the first week on the corners
